Like with waves and love

All the reflections that you
abandoned in the water pits
in wintery streets will disappear.
You must start anew.

I will have forgotten your face
and know you not tomorrow.

Nights when the birds would
reluctantly hum their spring tunes,
will vanish into aquatic nothingness,
and blessed be it.

Come find me tomorrow
we shall again acquaint,
as strangers,
saluting each other
with rosy ruby eyes
and warm hearts.
