Be bold!

At some point

you must leave the womb!

He would lay under

an aquatic duvet,

meekly, legs folded.

It would feel safe,

like the womb,

warm and dreamy.

Reality bites like a

hungry wolf,

starved for weeks,

and you can’t go back!

Leaving across the

rainbow bridge,

you would walk

amongst the other children

in decaying bodies,

and it’s s hard to pretend.

Pressing your fingers tightly

against your closed eyelids

as to stop the pain

in your stomach,

which makes breath uneasy.

One Response to “Be bold!”

  1. There are those individuals that wrap themselves in the illusion of safety from the world…an interesting poem.
